G-man playlist

So I guess I missed a few Fridays, huh?  well, today I give you a list that includes two more Grace Potter songs, because the more I listen to her new record the more I'm amazed at the pure power of her voice and of her songs.  The first one on here, "On My Way" sounds like if you took AC/DC, Led Zep, the Stones, and Janis Joplin and put them in a blender. I mean it's just so fucking good. I also included new songs from Beach Slang, The Parlor Mob and The Pressure Kids. Those were all songs Spotify thought I'd like and I very much do. Here is my second installment of the Friday 5. We saw Savannah Conley open for Ben Folds last weekend and she is a singer/songwriter worth keeping an eye (and ear) on. Grace Potter's new album dropped today and four of the tracks, including "Desire," feature Jess and Holly from the band Lucius. Grace has one of the most powerful voices in rock and it's on full display here. We round out with the new single from Dualtone's Mt. Joy, a track from Groh's OurVinyl Sessions, and then a kick-start into your weekend with Scorpions' "Pictured Life," otherwise known as the first song I ever blasted in my own first car....a looonnnnnggg time ago. happy weekend everyone!

hey everyone.....I'm starting a new weekly post called the Friday 5.  These are all new-ish songs I've come across that I'm loving right now.  Let me know what you think and feel free to spread this around!  oh and PS the first track is by Kevin Griffin, the front man for Better Than Ezra, and his new solo album is as good as some of the early BTE stuff that I love.  enjoy!
